Now at 17, Ashley Qualls is the CEO of a million-dollar internet business.
Watch the video below and read the story.
Her parents were divorced and she lived in a a one-bedroom apartment with her mother and sister.
Fortunately she was a straight A student, computer savvy and loved designing graphics.
Her target market is teenage girls and she understands what they love because she is one.
More amazing, she gives away Myspace background designs through her web site whateverlife.com for free.
So how did she strike gold on the Internet?
She makes money in her home based business with ads.
Actually she's made more than a million dollars on ad revenue.
Imagine about a million teenagers visit her site every day. More viewers than many teenage magazines.
With a such big audience, the site attracts advertisers. Ashley's first check was for $2,700. The next was for $5,000, the third for $10,000.
The checks kept coming.
Then she bought a brand new four-bedroom house to live in with her mother and sister.
Next Ashley hired her mother, Linda LaBrecque, to help manage the company. She also hired 3 close friends who help her out with business ideas and design a minimum of 25 graphic designs a week.
Unbelievably she now gets help from a business consultant and gets invitation for paid ads.
She only pays herself a salary of $3000 a month and does not make any stupid purchases.
Where is her internet business going, she is designing graphics for cell phones and web site templates for myspace users. She wants her business to keep growing.
Recently she's been offered $1.5 million dollars to buy her home based business.
What did she say?
